the spring broke, just the little hook on the arm that the spring attaches to broke right ??
You can buy the headlight wiper arm(s), not too expensive from eEuroparts or you can fix them if you are somewhat handy.
Both hooks broke on my 1995 Aero headlight wipers too. Must be some kind of defect for those years :-).
All you need is to rebuild that hook. Clip off a small piece of strong paper clip or something similar and bend it into a small hook (more like an "L". I use a piece of the chrome handle on those small black binder clips, it already has an "L" shaped built-in, you probably know what I am talking about.
Drill a small hole right at where the original hook broke off. The hole should be just big enough for one end of the hook you built. In fact you want a really tight fit for the hook into the hole. Now put some epoxy and glue the hook in place, if you have a tight fit, you don't need much epoxy. Put everything together and you are done. The fix should be good for a while, mine are still holding. You can always fix it again if the hook falls out :-).
Use a small gear puller or plumbing stem puller if the wiper arm doesn't come off easily. Careful about losing that little screw that holds the washer jet.
Have fun :-).
