Good news. My indy looked at my '93 CSET today and while I do need a heater core and one top mount (the torque mount?) the other mounts look fine (and he thinks they were replaced at somepoint). He quoted me $700 for the heater core and mount which seems like a screaming good price (especially compared to the dealer which was going to charge $1200 or so.
I'm a bit miffed at the dealer I've been using. I asked my indy to look at the turbo as I was not safisfied that the dealer had adequately dealt with my boost issue. Dealer adjusted the boost but "could only go so far with it." Dealer apparantly missed a bad vacuum hose that my indy found and replaced. Now I'm a novice, but how do you missed that (I'd like to think that if I had been so inclined that I would have found it)?
Re: the ABS issue, my indy thinks it is more likely dirty sensors (which he cleaned) and suggests that I don't do anything unless the problem persists and is more frequent.
So the moral of my story is that it looks like I found a good indy to do the work on my car (at least until I more out of my apartment and into a house so I can become a true DIY).
Thanks for all of your input.
