which were the real culprits in the 91-93 engines' timing chain catastrophes. The sprockets would wear sufficiently to allow the balance shaft chain to fall off, jamming up the works and destroying the timing chain (and all attendant damage thereafter).
I know these sprockets were addressed from 94 on, but am curious as to the frequency of chain failures/issues in later years.
Peter, that Aero won't accept my 93 engine, not only because of the block differences, but also because of fundamental ECM/wiring differences. We might have to go on a hunt for good, cheap, museum-quality substitutes for the Green Monster.
