It is easy to go from lpt->FPT.
You need a FPT ECU.
Any ECU from a '95 CSE will work.
An automatic Aero ECU will also work, as will an Aero ECU.
The Aero ECUs will allow the motor to make about 215-220 Hp.
You also need a Boost Pressure Contol valve (BPC) and 10 feet
of 8mm silicon vacuum hose to hook up the valve. The wiring for
the valve is already in the car. You will need to make, or buy the
mount-bracket for the BPC to attach to the radiator shroud.
The BPC valve costs around $200 new.
You should be able to find a used ECU in the 200-300 range.
If you really need a stock boost gauge, it can be installed by
obtaining a used instrument panel and swapping out the section
of the panel with the gauge, leaving the rest of the panel alone.
I converted my '95 CS to FPT. I bought a new BPC valve from
eEuroparts, the vacuum hose from HoseTechniques.
I used a '95 Auto-Aero ECU.
Given the parts, and the procedure, this mod can be be done in
less than an hour.
40-50 hp for $500 and an hours work.
God I love Saabs.
