If you have squeaking polyurethane front control arm rear bushings on your car, this will be of interest.
I purchased the pre-assembled "urethane" bushings from a site sponsor. After suffering annoying squeaking since their initial installation, I took the bushings out of the car and pressed out the inner “crush tube” using a large bench vise; there was absolutely NO lubricant visible. The bushing itself was not removed from the mounting, as I thought that I might destroy them in the process .
I slathered everything I could see with the special-purpose lubricant manufactured by Energy Suspensions in California, a sticky, silicone-type goo with (claimed) Teflon particles in it. This is available from many large auto retailers and speed shops, you might have to order it. The result is the elimination of the offensive squeak and a very pleasurable driving experience. I knew that there has to be some way to make these bushings work!
