Thanks for the post above, I thought I had asked advice at the College staff about insurance but any hint from here would be useful.

I don't have a degree yet, here in Italy mechanical engineering is a long course (5years), but the average time to finish is 6-7 years. I just begun my 6th now, and I'm 24. I have large theoritecal knowledges about anything a mechanical engineer, in the broadest meaning of the term, may ever need. Energy conversion, machinery, materials engineering, management, design, electrics, industrial plants, controlling, solid mechanics... besides a large basys on mathematical analysis, physics and algebra of course. Unfortunately I have no pratical experience in the engineering field, besides maybe those I aquired on my own. University here doesn't give any pratical experience, and it makes you study full time until at least 24, but I have many friends who graduated at 27-28, working for the first time after this. I hope to graduate shortly after having turned 25,but I already feel so old :(

Flat roads? I look forward to them. If I want hills andmountains there's plenty of them here, and probably I'll be here for the rest ofmy life, in these six months I just want those straight and flat roads, cutting the plain in half, heading right to the horizon! True american dream lol!
