ok, finally got to spend some time on my dead 95 9000cse turbo and i'm still unable to discover why it won't start.

the story up till now (excerpted from previous post).
engine died while travelling on expressway at 70mph. would not restart.
i've checked spark (yes), fuel (yes), and even replaced the engine computer, still no ignition. a quick examination of the timing chain indicated that timing is correct and nothing is broken as far as i can tell. the computer is getting a signal from the crankshaft sensor, but, i have no way of testing to see whether it's the proper signal. a check of previous posts on the board have not shown any indication that the 94 thru 98 crank sensors have been a problem.
did a quick compression test and all cylinders are testing low. but they've been at that level for over a year and 22,000 miles, so the dramatic failure i experienced doesn't seem to jibe with a compression problem.

still, the trionic system seems to depend on a feedback loop from the di cassette to establish ignition and for some reason that doesn't seem to be happening.

i've got alternate transportation so a trip to a mechanic isn't warranted yet, but, i still need help... this is driving me crazy.
