Vibration and Poly Tranny Mount Posted by DickT [Email] (#1628) [Profile/Gallery] (more from DickT) on Sat, 10 Apr 2004 05:48:38 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Replaced my trans mount with poly about three weeks ago and while it improved shifter feel remarkably, it also resulted in more vibration than I had expected, especially around 2-3000 rpm. Rear lower mount is new, front seems in good shape, uppers are poly front, stock rear with about 10k on them. Onset of vibration was definitely after changing the mount. Job went smoothly with no problems, but I wondered if there were anything I could have done while changing it that would account for the vibration, or is the mount the cause, and if so will it soften up as it wears in.
