...pretty significant crunching. I think the cables have run amok.
Oh, well. At least we got the vibration thing solved. Bad tire, tire pressure too low. 40 psi works like a charm. ALSO, the alignment guys had done a poor job -- 4mm toe-in on the right. FINALLY, my steering wheel is straight when driving straight, versus a little to the left.
How are YOU? Did you determine what was causing the rattle in the right rear?
