I have a "93 9000CSE with 152k. It has been running fine except for a brief roughness after a cold start occasionly. Today it won't run. It will start, run 2 or 3 seconds and abruptly quit. I checked out fuel pump connections, got fuel pressure when opening the line at the intake manifold, checked plugs and DI cassette which looked OK (replaced it about 2 years ago). I did find the vacuum hose off the top of the intake manifold and reattached it but the car still wouldn't start. So, after 2 or 3 hours of looking, reading and scratching my head I asked my wife to try it while I listened to the fuel pump. Cautioned her to keep her foot off the accelerator. Naturally it started and ran. A bit slowly at first and then normally. Took it for a 10 mile ride and it performed great. Now, what's going to happen tomorrow morning?
