Serpentine belt broke ABS sensor wire

A few days ago the serpentine belt tensioner on our 1994 9000 Aero self destructed, resulting in the belt first shredding (to about 50% of its normal width), and then finally breaking. We had our independent mechanic replace the tensioner assembly, the pulleys and the belt. Thought that all was well, until the anti-lock brake light went on. Checked the 9000 BB re possible causes of anti-lock brake light being on, and noted that wheel sensors are frequently the problem. Checked the RF wheel sensor and followed the wire up into the engine compartment and bingo - problem solved. When the serp belt was shredding it somehow also managed to take out the ABS sensor wire and break it in two.
If any of the TSN 9000 owners ever needed additional motivation to periodically check their serpentine belt system (tensioner, pulleys and the belt) the prospect of possibly also having to replace an ABS sensor, when the serp belt goes out, should be sufficient incentive!
