My 97 9000cs serp belt went on me on the highway and I immediately pulled over when I saw the temp gage go all the way to the top. Since belt replacement the gage is now reading normal, but the EDU shows "Check Radiator" and does not clear itself.....do I have to pay a dealer to clear this message?
BTW...I highly recommend that if you suspect your serp belt tensioner is getting weak through age, or abuse by overextension during maintenance, to make sure the AC compressor does not run until the tensioner is replaced!
