Hi Zeke,
The car has 90K miles on.
I'd found last week upon backing from my 2 hours trip, the engine ran hotter than before (saying around 9-9.30 O'clock on the dash instead of 8.00 O'clock firm like before) and was still moving slowly toward the red.
At that time I was driving around 75-80 Mph, so I slowed down to 55 Mph to see if it helped. Hopefully, the needle went back to 9.00. So I kept driving it at 55 mph 'till my home.
After got back the home I checked what's really going on.
Coolant was okay, running engine and there is no sign of fault or leak form the water pump, the fan keeps running at Lo/Hi speed continuously. However, I've found that the wind that blowed thru the radiator by blower motor was NOT that hot at all. Instead I feel rather cool air!!! Moreover, I touch the hose that comes inlet to the radiator, it's pretty hot at firm, so I supposed the thermostat was fine.
This time I have no idea about other components but the radiator, it was cold in the middle section, while the thermofan kept running. I opened the expansion cap, and found plenty pieces of some kind of "debris". This debris remind me the problem of my old '94 CSE that it had this debris and two days later the radiator was gone.
Let me write again after I finish changing the radiator. Will tell what's goin' on!
