Sounds exactly like an AMM problem. I had an '88 9KT that would stall stall stall in cold weather because of the AMM. One sure way to detect of the AMM is at fault is to pull it from the intake at night, bring it into the house where it can slowly warm up over night, then in the morning heat it up slowly and safely with a hair dryer or as I did with a small toaster (not recommended, haha). Now with a cold engine and a warm AMM in the morning you have a system with a variable to play with. Put the heated AMM back in and start it up. If the idling improves, BAM! it's the AMM! Eeuroparts sells rebuilt ones for cheap cheap! I actually just picked up one a month or so ago, 1 week before a big accident I had with my 9KT... so if you want a perfectly good AMM just let me know. Good Luck
