You can use the ABS pump to bleed the rear brakes without a pressure bleeder. That's the "Key to ON" bit. To avoid overheating the ABS pump, you should run it no more than 2 minutes out of every 10 min.
However, if you want to bleed the fronts, you need a pressure bleeder. If it's hooked up and ready to go, you might as well do the rears with the pressure bleeder, and you can do it faster and with less stress on the ABS pump.
However, if you're stuck many miles from you pressure bleeder, and need to bleed only the rear brakes, you can use the ABS pump.
