This may not help in the middle of a trip, but I used the Motive Power Bleeder, which was mentioned in past posts. Others have made their own contraptions using pressure sprayer or similar. However, for fluid exit from the slave cylinder bleeder nipple, instead of using the vinyl tubing that came with the bleeder kit, I used tubing from Home Depot with a larger ID for a slightly less tight fit. I read the writeup on http://www.quasimotor.com, the Motive instructions, and past posts on clutch master cylinder replacement.
One remaining problem though is that the cruise control isn't working. I think it is because the switch on the clutch pedal (visible in the below pic) isn't getting pushed in enough when the clutch pedal is up, unlike the brake switch. I am not sure whether something became wrong with the switch, or whether the bracket has rotated out of original position (hard to believe since it feels pretty immovable).
