I will not argue with Honda's reliability, or even the fun-to-drive factor (as noted by all the modified ones driving around!). My neighbor has a Honda, and I'm always the one working on my car.

Best answer I can give is that they're not for me. I don't see a real sense of style. I don't like the interior--I prefer the jet-like cockpit of my Saab. I don't really like the driving position, and the seats don't even compare to the comfy Saab seats--these are great for my back when it's achin'!

However, what I like most about my Saab is its long life (if I take care of it). I plan on getting at least 5-6 more YEARS out of my '88, and I don't see a Honda really doing that.

Honda makes a quality product, it's just not for me. Just like I prefer my Apple iBook at work to my PC at home (never thought I would say THAT!), and my North Face jacket to anything else to keep me warm, it's all about consumer preferences.

Bottom line: SAAB works for me. I enjoy driving it, and I enjoy the discovery and learning that comes from working on it.
