I confirmed that this did in fact affect performance positively last year. Some of the old posts on this topic stated that torque was limited in only 1st and 2nd .
In my test last week however I found that boost in 3rd and 4th were also improved. I am regularly boosting half into the red and once to the end of the red with only 91 octane when it is cool out.
This combined with my super sticky 17/45/225 Nokian WR's gives an incredible launch...
my old slippery 205's used to squirm in first and lose traction into second on launches
I don't think I'll be doing a external switch though as I am usually satisfied with the stock performance.
