Just had my local indie rebuild the 5 speed on my '91 9kt. He did a nice job, but there is now a leak from the new rear main seal and there is a high pitched bearing sound upon releasing the clutch as the car gets under way. Frist, are there any special steps necessary for successfully installing the rear main on the 2.3? It seems as though I read that this was a difficult beast to replace with no leaks. Also, any ideas about the bearing whine. It sounds like a dentists drill as you release the clutch to get underway. throughout bearing?
Thanks for any input.
