on replacing con rod bearings......but it will be very hard to do, simply do to being on your back the whole time. Do 2 at a time at the bottom of the stroke. I thought about doing the same on my 88 but I'm going to wait until winter and pull the engine. This way I can do the piston rings at the same time.
best advise is finding a factory repair manual as it give you exact instructions on removing the pan. You need to stabilise the engine from up top with a beam or a engine lift.
