Miles to empty? Posted by Ari [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: fuel gauge fault????, mark uk, Wed, 30 Jun 2004 16:33:31 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
When The gauge goes to zero, what does the miles to empty value show on the EDU? Does it also go to zero (or very low?) Does the Low Fuel light come on?
If the miles to empty goes to zero along with the gauge, then I'd suspect the fuel sender. If miles to empty still shows a reasonable number, then I would suspect the gauge itself, or actually the EDU. The gas gauge is driven by electronics on the EDU circuit board, mounted behind and below the speedo. I'd pop the dash cover off and re-seat the connector on the board. Or actually, reseat the board in the connector.
