I tried what I think you explained to do and I got no where with the seat. I'm about ready to pry it up. I can get my hands under pretty far but I can't do anything that will get it up no matter which way I yank.
I probably could have left it alone but I changed my headliner and one of the back panels today and I can't change the panel on the side of the seat that I can't move. The haedliner and panels were really bad in the car and I have to get this last panel changed. If I don't get it up I will have to cut the back panel to get the seat belt into place. I don't really want to do that because the headliner and panels look new. My car is a 93 and this was the only flaws to the car other then the fact that the car is silver. :-0
If there are anymore ideas I'd be quite happy to hear them before I ruin the locking mechanism under this seat.
