inside the engine compartment. My '95 9K Aero has the same setup as yours, i.e. a short hose vents to the atmosphere at the bottom of the MAP sensor. If the MAP sensor is a differential pressure sensor, it has to measure boost presure relative to a reference pressure, so I would surmise that the open end of the hose is the reference atmospheric pressure. So if your BPC and wastegate mechanism isn't working right and your boost is over certain amount of atmospheric pressure, then the engine hits fuel cutoff etc..
If the MAP sensor is missing something, then maybe someone would tell me.
BTW, I had the car essentially since new and everything seems to work fine. Is there something wrong with your car that may lead to believe something is missing ?
