Ok, what you have is a LPT.... Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Wed, 7 Jul 2004 13:49:32 In Reply to: SAAB 9000CS running problem, James, Wed, 7 Jul 2004 13:19:39 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
(Light pressure Turbo). That's what all CS models are. The turbocharger is not controlled by the computer (only the wastegate) and is set at base boost. CS models. accordingly, did not come with a boost gauge. Therefore, you do not have a boost controller (aka BPC, APC solenoid, etc.). So that's not your problem.
Are your plugs in good condition and gapped properly (correct brand/nodel)?
Could be a bad vacuum line somewhere...
Could be a bad/dying DI cassette....
How many miles does the car have??
By the way, you can easily add a BPC and hoses and swap in a CSE/Aero computer to get a nice increase of about 30 hp, making it a FPT (Full Pressure Turbo)
