It's especially helpful to know that there's acceptable play in the ETS connector.
Sure is strange that the car would suddenly jump into LHM like that. I can't think what would cause that. And with five (5) flashes of the CEL meaning Throttle Position Sensor, I wonder what could be the problem there. Is there an electrical connection that one could dislodge when re-installing the heater core/blower motor?
I'll be sure to get the codes cleared correctly, as suggested by Jeff. Sure a better thing that a new/replacement throttle body (or messing around with my existing one)!
I really find it hard to believe that I could have damaged the throttle body during this last project. I'm very aware of things like that when I'm working. Could the fact that I started the car with the AC but without the blower connected, and the fact that I set the AC to "LO," have triggered some weird error in the ECU to set off the LHM?
What else should I check related to the Throttle Position Sensor?
REALLY appreciate both your help. My project was completed on the blower motor and heater core, otherwise, so of course I was REALLY kicking myself in the tush when the LHM popped up.
