Purple stitching on black Aero seats...?

Hi all,
A discussion started brewing on the Saab Club of Western Canada list and I thought I'd bring it here to widen the perspective.
My black on black Aero has purple stitching in all the headrests and seats. I mentioned this and previous owner LesH was most surprised. I looked at one of the pictures he sent me before I ever saw the car, and lo and behold, there's the purple stitching.
Then Les and Vince offered up the suggestion that perhaps the stitching had faded with age and sun exposure. I don't find this likely, as the colour is uniform throughout all of the stitching. The front seats have, and all four headrests have it. It's all the same colour. The purple stitching even runs down either side of the zippers on the back of the front seats. It's the same color all the way down to near the footwell, where the sun really doesn't shine very much at all.
Being that these are Recaro-designed seats, it doesn't particularly surprise me. It's a subtle hint of the car's purpose - a bit of flash in an otherwise non-suggestive Q-ship.
Anyway, can anyone else with a black interior in their Aero chime in?
I'm certainly not complaining - I think it looks kind of cool. I'm just curious as to whether anyone else has noticed this.
For what it's worth, the last six numbers in my VIN are 027887 (which I understand is the serial number)
Thanks in advance!
