An easy DIY.. fear of doing it is the largest problem..
IF yers is not physically damaged ie: Rusted like an old Liberian Tanker.
Seal kit is relatively inexpensive and aside from serious cleanliness, all you have to worry about is the Condition of the Piston and Bore.. both of which can be renewed if needed.
On the other Hand a rebuilt is even easier.. but the quality of the rebuild is errr.. Variable.. buy from a local trusted Source, with a V good service/warrantee history, not because you want to return it, but because generally those kinda places try not to sell crap :-)
