...I drive a 1990 9000 turbo... and a few years ago i purchased an ECU upgrade chip and also the DI/APC upcrade chip both from ABBOTT RACING...

Cost me $450 i think...

anyways... they worked wonders when i first put them in, it was like a whole different car...

...however... after having some low boost problems and "bad" vacuum like problems, causing my car to run at VERY low performance levels, and FIXING these problems...

...i'm wondering the same thing you are wondering joe...

Will the ECU reailze the car is running at peack mechanical performance again and "adapt" itself to this electrically???

I've got a TON of modiciations done, and i still only get 15-16 psi max... this just bothers me, and i was wondering if i should unplug the BPC solenoid unit to "reset the base boost" as some members have posted on here in the past?

What does "resetting the base boost" accomplish? how long do you drive around with the BPC disconnected?

Supposedly, the chips i got from abbott are MAPTUN chips, and ALSO supposedly, they raise the base boost level, from 6 to 9 maybe? so... could these chips maybe have been damaged from the mechanical woes i experienced, and i need new chips?

can i expect to unplug the BPC, and have the MAPTUN chip reset the base boost level to IT'S OWN level, or will it reset to the stock level...

any help is appretiated...
