...i've seen other posts on here about the differences between both the measurements...
...one thing i read about this that i tend to agree with, is the car is constantly computing the average MPG, and is taking into account certain temperatures (intake, exhaust, fuel maybe?) and certainly has a more accurate reading that the general "17 gallons at 300 miles = x MPG"
I would try this... drive the car till it's near empty... then fill it up with stictly 93 octane. Then decide where you want to do your test drive... around town or on the highway... pick one (although 300 miles of around town driving would suck!! ;)
anyways... before you embark on the test, reset the MPG computer to zero, and then start driving till the gas is gone! Maybe you shouldn't fill up the tank if you don't feel like driving 300 miles for testing purposes...
anyways... this is the best way i can think of to see what the car computer is actually coming up with, and then do the normal calculations again, and see how far off they are...
...i guess if you don't have the time to spend on anything like what i am describing... then just feel OK knowing that you get somewhere BETWEEN 25 and 35 MPH... city and highway! :)
thats not bad at all!
