The only differences, engine-wise, between a stick/auto CSE and a stick Aero is the turbocharger and the ECU software. An auto Aero is exactly the same as a stick/auto CSE (per the engine).

If you were to install the Mitsubishi TD04 (stick Aero) and the ECU software, the hp would go from 200 to 225. You would also have much more torque. Now, you could install the TD04 with the CSE software and gain some more hp over stock, but not as much as 225. With the mods that you probably have in mind to install, you would easily gain much more power over an Aero. With the mods I installed (ECU, exhaust, air delivery), I am attaining 250 hp and 16 - 20 psi of boost. This is with the CSE turbocharger (Garrett T25) and an auto.

What I am understanding, though, from your past post, is that you are experiencing the dreaded "stuck in base-boost" dilemma. Seems like everyone goes through this at some point. It's not fun, and quite frustrating when you cannot resolve it. Boosting only to mid-yellow, and attaining only 7psi (since you increased base boost to 6.5) correlates to being stuck at that point. You will need to diagnose what is causing this problem. The best thing to do is to search this board for what others have suggested as to what to look for. A few certain things to research are:
plugs (NGK only, under 12K miles on them, gapped to 1.00mm)
air filter (clean)
all charged-air connections are tight
vacuum lines (replace them all with silicone)
fuel filter (new)
intake air temp sensor (remove and clean tip with carb cleaner)

I had to play around with the internal spring of my Hyperboost before I finally got it right. When I went from the stock BPV to the Hyperboost, I was not able to reach high-boost (as I had been doing with the stock BPV). I had to stretch the spring somewhat, and that seemed to have helped. I also tried installing it the opposite way, and that also helped a little.

One thing that I know of from my experience as being a computer programmer is the fact that computers are not 100% correct 100% of the time. This means that something could have caused the ECU to select a conservative path for performance, limiting it to base boost, to protect whatever component might have sent a signal. You cannot write software to handle every single different type of scenario. Something could have happened that confused the software, and not necessarily have illuminated the CEL. My suggestion would be to reset the ECU (by disconnecting the battery or by pulling the fuse and letting it sit for a few hours), then perform an adaptation run when you reconnect the ECU. Search this board for performing this.

Joe
