Overboost problems/ TCS?

So, my car has been wonderfully quick for the last few days, but I was starting to wonder. Tonight I took it up a nice hill to see just how much boost I was getting, and sure enough I hit the overboost cutout. I was not able to make it overboost by flooring it and keeping my foot on the brake. In that case, it seemed to stay at base boost. That makes me think I have some sort of computer problem.
What really worries is that this same thing happened a year ago after I had my TCS throttle body replaced. It was replaced in June. By August I was having frequent overboost. By September the brand new throttle body was dead. The position potentiometer inside had gone bad.
Overboost I can live with. A new throttle every year I can't. I found one person on the list who had a similar problem, but I don't know how that turned out. I will keep trying to find exactly what is causind the overboost... But does anyone know whether this could be related to TCS or the throttle body or ECU?
