I know you have a 92-9kT with automatic trans. Any current problems with your engine drivability and boost? How did you determine the O2 sensor needed replacing?
According to Bosch's own website, they only make two (2) different types of universal (3 wire) heated thimble O2 sensors for all cars that use them. I wonder if this is essentially true for the OEM type as well, but they just have different connectors.
It's clear that most of the Bosch OE sensors have custom cable lengths and custom connectors. I can understand small production runs (of specialized connectors) raising the price.
This Bosch OEM 3-wire heated O2 sensor (Ford #13942 for Mustang 5.0L V8) lists for $50:
Bosch 13942
Check/Replace Interval 60K Miles;
OE Type w/Connector; 3 Wire; Heated;
8.5 inch long wire
