an Allen hex key attachment for your socket wrench. The hub that contains the bearing is held on to the steering knuckle with 4 large socket head bolts from the back. I'm pretty sure the size is 8 mm, but it won't hurt to buy a set. A standard L-shaped Allen wrench is not going to do the job.
I just did this on both my cars recently (180K miles on one and 145K miles on the other), and probably the hardest thing is getting the big axle nut off. The size is 32 mm, and plan on using a cheater pipe on your breaker bar if the nut hasn't been off recently. The torque requirement for the axle nut is 207 ft/lbs, which is off the scale of most torque wrenches.
The procedure I used is:
1. Remove the axle nut with the car on the ground.
2. Jack up the car and remove the wheel (don't forget those jack stands)
3. Remove the ABS sensor and tie it up out of the way
4. Remove the brake caliper and tie it up, too
5. Remove the brake rotor
6. Separate the hub assembly from the lower control arm by unbolting the ball joint from control arm (three bolts)
7. Unbolt the hub assembly from the shock tube.
8. Tap the axle out of the hub and pull the hub forward. Leave the tie rod end attached.
9. Pivot the hub around and remove the bearing from the carrier (4 Allen head socket bolts)
Reverse the procedure to install the new bearing. Torque the axle nut to 207 ft/lbs once the car is on the ground.
I think that is everything. Time, without any glitches, should be around an hour.
Good luck!
