Any consensus on smoking at startup?

Greetings all!
In the past few days I've been letting my 93 CDE turbo sit while driving other cars, and it's been rainy and humid. When I've fired up the Saab, I've lately been noticing grey smoke as the car idles, and when I pull out of the driveway. Not stomping on the gas or anything.
After driving a few miles, the problem seems to go away. I haven't tried letting it sit there and idle after I've been driving it to see if the problem returns as it idles. Usually, next time I start the car (30 minutes later in yesterday's case), the smoke will return, again goes away when I've driven a bit.
Once the smoke goes away, it doesn't seem to return if I accelerate hard or decelerate, or sit at a stoplight and take off. Any opinions on this? I'm leaning toward turbo seals myself (goodbye, car) or valve stem seals.
Thanks in advance!
