Rebuilt transmission is in my future. My wife's 91 9000S, which has been my weekend project for the last few months, has no forward gears.

I've replaced several parts of the auto transmission, based upon symptoms (C brake band servo piston, governor, governor seals, and A accumulator spring). It was inspected last week, and I handed the key over to my wife. Fortunately, she didn't have the experience that I did in the car today.

At a stop light, no forward gears. Previous stop light, hardly any acceleration, but managed to shift manually through gears. Instantly changed destination to home, but never made it. Car works great in reverse! It's a thrill to drive 2 1/2 blocks backwards to park in a hotel parking lot (all other spaces in that area would result in towing and/or ticket!).

Best option for us at this point is a rebuilt transmission from Eriksson's that I install myself. If anyone has any other options (in terms of what to check in the transmission), I would sincerely appreciate it.
