Owning a 9000 is a bit like a love affair...
Plenty of desire, lust and feelings of one-upmanship on the other poor souls that drive regular cars...
Saabs love to be driven and we ( the Saab addicts on this board) love to drive them... it is much more than basic transportation...
But... Older 9000's are famous for requiring what many on the board refer to as $500-$1000 chunks to keep them on the road (look for posts by Gavin... poor guy) . That said, most Saabs will be on the road for many many miles (many on the board have over 200,000 MILES on the original 4 cyl turbos)
From the sound of your initial post you probaly are not quite ready for an intense relationship with a car, especially if you are not the DIY type.
But it sounds like a good price... where is the car? ... just in case my wife lets me get another ;-)
take care
