If you have the whole pump it only take no more than 1/2 hour to change ( of course it's easier when you do it the 2nd time). First depressurized the system, for the banjo fuel line, I put a shop towel on top for protection, grab the banjo with a plyer by the right hand, use the left hand to pull the fuel line straigh up. I used a fat screw driver and a rubber hammer to unscrew the plastic collar (only broke 1 tooth, a wooden special tool in the old post is handy to put the collar back on, but the screw driver is better to loosen it)). The rest is pretty much plug and play. Of course always be extra carefull while working on fuel system.
I do not see a way to test old pump. When my pump died, the car just didn't start, I banged on the gas tank by the pump while my 10 year old son started the car and the pump came back to life for a while!
