I placed shop rags underneath the chain. Using a Dremel tool with a grinding stone to grind off the flange. I found that the bicycle chain tools were too small to use and I ended up using a chain tool from a motorcycle shop. The tool pushes the pin out of the link.
You will need the tool to push the new pin in, because they don't use the master link clip system you see elsewhere. Once the pin is pushed all the way in, get a large hammer and a small hammer. Hold the large hammer behind the link like an anvil, and use the small hammer to round the head of the chain pin over slightly.,
