earlier models had the old cylindrical style with 2 hoses coming out of the bottom (one pointing vertical, and the other pointing horizontal) and an electrical connector in the top. That is called an IAC (Idle Air Control).
For your car (Trionic ECU), it's directly under the TB. It is black, plastic, and has a hose coming out of the top going into the TB and another coming out of the bottom and going (?). That is called an AIC (Automatic Idle Control). I had messed around in that area a few months ago when I had to perform an emergency coolant flush when ATF mixed with the coolant. Afterwards, my idle was horrible. I had to fiddle with that thing I just explained, and then my idle smoothed out.
The ECU controls the idle in Trionic cars vs. the cylinder-style valve that controlled it in older cars. The AIC is part of the Trionic system.
