After driving a 98 CSE with Aero engine for 4 months I have subsequently decided that my 97 cs LPT just doesn't have enough Motor-vation. I have researched quite a bit and have found that my lpt could one day be a FPT with ECU swap and adding an APC. There is one problem I am unable to find answers to by just searching past posts. Through my findings I have heard a few rumblings about a VSS (Vehicle Security System?) compatibility issue when putting an ECU with a different SN# into my car. So here lies my questions?

1. Does my car have VSS? How do I find out? - I am led to believe that the newer the car, the more likely it is.

2. If yes, can I still swap out an ECU from a FPT, if so what happens to my VSS. Car won't start? Car won't lock?

3. Is my only option to get my current ECU remapped by Maptun, etc ?

4. Anyone know of a good resource states side that can remap, or sells used/new ECU
