After I cleaned out my TB and AIC during some recent work, the car now races to a high rpm when started cold (around 30 deg F). This morning it was at 2,200 rpm and slowly climbing. This worried me a bit since you're not supposed to "race" the engine when cold (worth worrying about?).

Sometimes after warming up and bit, the idle does the annoying "hunt" (up to 1,500, down to 500 rpm, etc.). It'll actually stall if it gets into the hunting routine. It seems that this is not a problem with the basic idle speed, and I haven't found any vac leaks.

Any ideas? I know an obvious suspect is an air leak around the inlet, but I just can't find anything.
