Haynes says max radial and lateral runout no more than .5mm. I think you could tolerate more than that, especially for snows. When I got my 89, the inner sides of two of the rims looked more like wankel rotors. Early 9000 rims are soft and do bend and can be straightened somewhat. If you're picking over junkyard rims, lay a hubcap on the inner face of the rim to get a quick idea of which ones to forget about.
