Hi
First this is not a thread about
oils or transmission fluids.
Nor on Bar's leak stop.
Plenty of discussion on the board about that.
I find that I need a variety of misc
chemicals to work on my Saab, and would be interested
in differing opinions and suggestions.
1. Loosing those d*amn stuck bolts. Used
liquid wrench and WD-40 for years, but have lately
changed over to PB Blaster (Available at NAPA).
$4 for a large can, and it works like nothing I have
ever used before. Has other uses but keep it away from
vinyl and styrofoam - ok near rubber and urethane.
2. Gas additive for fuel injector cleaning etc.
I have been a Sea Foam fan for years.
3. Auto trans additive. Recently started using
Lubegard Red, as suggested by Ericcson's -
they say it is the only Saab approved auto
box additive. Noticed a difference in my
transmission smoothness and sound almost immediately.
Interested in suggestions on good degreasers,
silicon lubes for the window tracks, leather
cleaner/restorer, etc. Is there a strong consensus
on coolants?
BTW - looking for a pair of blue arm rests for a
90 9kt, and on my wish list is a set of Aero
front seats (in blue - did they make them in blue?),
so if you see a set please let me know.
Buck
