You can certainly remove the in-dash player...just use the supplied radio removal tools or a coat hanger) do a search, its easy!) I think what you'll need to do also is find the other end of the cable that will connect the changer. It will be hanging around behind the radio somewhere, and the connector will look the same as the one of the in-dash one you are removing. When the in-dash is gone, either install a Taurus cupholder combo or find the felt storage thing in a junkyard or something.
The headunit will control the changer...The numeric buttons select the CD and the < and > buttons will skip/fast forward, ect. the tracks. I think there is a Random button too. Just like the old one, Source will toggle between radio and CD.
