My 9000 started smoking intermittently this summer, happened very few times and always seemed to go away. I've been nervous but broke, so i just sort of ignored it.
Then i moved about a month ago, a few hours on the highway doing 75, not really any big deal. When i got to my new town the next day i noticed smoke coming from the exhaust, blah.
It was suggested to me that i might have a stuck valve, so i got an additive for the oil and it actually seemed to do better for about a day. Now i've got some serious smoke.
I worry people at intersections with my noxious clouds, the car still feels strong but the turbo does not sound "right" if it's been running it seems to peter out and only be visable if you're looking at the exhaust. The smell is more of a dry mechanical odor than that of burning oil, but i'm slowly losing oil and not on my driveway.
help would be most appreciated, i've just started working so i'm still fairly broke, but i really don't have a choice to to get it fixed. Also if anyone knows of any (or is one) mechanics in the Portland Maine area i'd love to hear about them too.
I wrote down the swedish solution and back bay motors from the mechanics list, but any other names would be appreciated.
