...there are TONS of posts on this issue.
In a nutshell, check the simple stuff first:
-- The vacuum hoses from the intake manifold to the TCS check and safety valves. Are they all connected? In okay condition?
-- The check valve on the firewall. Two-colored circular plastic device -- air should only flow one way when you blow or inhale through it. (Make sure you connect it back in the same direction you found it installed!)
-- The safety valve on the firewall. Right next to the check valve, with one hose coming out its passenger side that's about one inch long and connects to nothing -- vents to atmosphere, which is correct. This can also be the culprit. Can check to see if it's getting too hot, in which case it should be replaced.
-- Last, but not least, if you've replaced the components noted above, go to an Indie mechanic, have them clear the fault codes, (note down what they are first,) and see if that fixes the problem.
-- If all else fails (and there may be other additional remedies to pursue first), you may need to replace your throttle body. See SWEDECAR's excellent posts on the correct new throttle body version to use (needs the harness pins to have gold connectors added). This is an expensive part that also really requires a knowledgeable Indie mechanic who has the ISAT or TECHII tool and who knows TCS calibration -- a significant amount of calibration is required both BEFORE and AFTER the new throttle body is installed.
The parts noted above are, in order mentioned, the things to check and replace first. Very easy to do oneself. Don't even THINK about replacing the throttle body until you've tried everything listed before it, along with whatever others will add to this BB chain.
You can buy just about all the parts you need from eEuroparts, one of this site's sponsors, and, from my experience, the one with the best prices and service.
Good luck!
