I don't know how to in words describe how to route the wire, but I give it a try.
It's a really tricky, delicate procedure.
I wound it up around the spool/drum using my fingers to keep in in place, turn by turn.
I try to have both wires end at the proximate direction as to how the are going out of the motor.
I keep the three black rubber pieces inside the drum/spool and lower the whole piece down over the drive tabs in motor.
After that I put the lid back on the motor and don't really worry about that the wire is actually slack. The motor housing kinds of keep the wire in place.
Next, get both plastic strips, the grey guides and springs lined up in each end of the motor.
Wrap the wire around one of the pulleys and lock that white block in place at the lowest tension level.
After that I use a plier and get a GOOD GRIP on the last white tension block, guide the wire over the last pulley, keep it in place with my thumb and pull with the plier/wire to collaps the springs to give me enough slack to bring the wire over the pulley and pull the white block down to its bracket.
When it's all together I hook it up to the door wiring and test drive it before installing everything back into the door. This way I can see if the wire have spooled up correctly on the drum.
BEWARE!!!! When you test drive the motor and sled without having it hooked up to the window you WILL ruining the pulley on either side if you drive the sled all the way up in any direction.
The sled will run right up and crush the plastic pulley.
It's not easy in any way and only when you have done it a couple of times does it get a little bit easier.
