This has been bothering me. I figured there must be a list
out there somewhere. Found this by doing a usenet search
on alt.autos.saab.
But to be honest there are conflicting stories on this -
note that 4 was reported as a coolant sensor problem once,
but mostly as an LH unit problem almost always triggered by
the knock sensor.
I also found a reference to a 5 being triggered by
a bad ground on pin 5 of the ecu.
2 Flashes = Map sensor.
3 Flashes = Intake air temp sensor.
4 Flashes = Knock sensor (or ezk system & wiring)
5 Flashes = Throttle position sensor.
6 Flashes = Oxygen sensor.
7 Flashes = Adaptation.
8 Flashes = EVAP can purge valve.
9 Flashes = Control module Internal fault.
To clear them unhook the battery for about 5 minutes.
As for your 5 flashes, check your vacuum hose connection
to the MAP sensor - that turned up as reason for triggering
this code.
