Well put.
To me there is a difference between driving quickly, and driving hard/aggressively. I do like to wind 'er up on a fairly regular basis, but what I am really easy on is the clutching/shifting. I like to time it just right so that it practically sucks itself into gear when I nudge the lever.
As Steve said, while the Saab is a strong, safe car, at 100+mph you're pretty much hosed any way you slice it. These cars do 100mph in their sleep, so it becomes necessary to think more about what other drivers on our north american roads are expecting and can dael with, rather than what you and your car are capable of.
Also I think once you get past the point of just enjoying the capabilities of the car and you get to pushing the limits of what is possible, then it is not suited for public roads, period. If you feel the need to do that stuff, please go to a private circuit.
