the big job is flushing and refilling the coolant system, unless you're skipping this step. If the ATF mixed with the coolant, you MUST flush out the coolant system, as well as the ATF in the tranny. If the radiator is just leaking the ATF and that it did not fall apart internally to allow the two fluids to mix, then you will not need to flush out the systems.
I did mine over the summer, and will try to remember what I did:
Drain rad/coolant system
Remove BPC solenoid (if you have a FPT car)
Remove upper rad hose
Remove tranny hoses from rad
Remove upper bolt that attaches oil cooler to rad (pass. side)
Remove 2 screws that hold fan/shroud in place
Disconnect and remove fan/shroud
Remove center bolt at top of rad (very tricky to get to inside nut)
Remove lower rad hose
Remove lower bolt that attaches oil cooler to rad (pass. side)
Remove 2 bolts that attaches ATF cooler to rad (bottom)
Remove 2 long screws that attach rad to bottom cross member
Remove rad
Install is opposite of what you just did
Fill coolant system
Fill ATF system
Tips:
ATF will leak out of cooler; let it sit in a shallow bucket but leave it attached to the tranny.
I didn't replace the center bolt at top of rad since I couldn't get to the inside nut; haven't had any problems leaving it like that.
Only remove oil cooler screws, not the oil cooler itself.
Now would be a good time to replace all coolant hoses if not done previously.
Use new washers-with-gaskets at all of the tranny line banjo fittings.
There may be more screws/bolts than I mentioned, but you'll see them.
Good luck!
